POSITION
Summary:
The email specialist position for the Alumni Relations team (alumni and military relations) will act as a project coordinator and email coder for the communications department under the direct supervision of the Sr. Communications Manager. The role will include coding and testing new emails and managing the email calendar.
Typical work activities include:
EMAIL
Calendar
Maintain the alumni relations email calendar and make sure that the status of emails is updated throughout the email creation/send process.
Copy/Coding
Verify that email details are accurate and are in sync with alumni/military relations' tone and messaging. The communications specialist will also code email copy into designated templates.
Create trackable URL's, where appropriate, to be inserted into email codes to assist in gathering analytics.
Take a proactive role in assuring that emails are coded in a timely manner. Ensure that all of the appropriate parties have approved the copy and that email standard operating procedures are followed with each send.
Sends
Maintain a close working relationship with the email distribution team to make sure that email files are delivered on time and make appropriate adjustments based on feedback from the email team.
Analytics
Provide analytics, heat maps and other reports to provide constituency relations team with data to make better future decisions on email campaigns.
Update the calendar with data to assist in tracking analytics.
Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Must have a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related work experience
Must have at least three years' professional writing experience
Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be comfortable in a fast-paced corporate work environment
Must have a basic understand of HTML code to assist in the coding of emails
Must have experience with Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
