Assist in overseeing all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations.
Work under the supervision and guidance of the warehouse manager.
Help facilitate the efficient execution of product loading and unloading tasks.
Scan and meticulously track incoming and outgoing orders.
Receive and meticulously process new inventory, ensuring that contents align with manifest documents.
Inspect received items for defects, damages, or any missing components.
Accurately scan and log incoming goods into inventory.
Safely unload, stack, relocate, and place products in their designated storage areas.
Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, and other equipment for transferring and delivering goods.
Conduct detailed manual inventory counts.
Required Skills:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a receiving clerk.
Forklift certification or the ability to successfully complete forklift training.
Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, standing, and lifting, often exceeding 50 pounds.
A keen attention to detail for accurate documentation of shipments.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and suppliers.
Basic financial skills to track supply orders.
Exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage received items.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and possibly graveyard hours.
Educational requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Forklift training and certification within 30 days of hire.
