Sr IT Project Manager

A top-tier global financial services firm seeks a Sr IT Project Manager in Tempe, AZ(Hybrid) office.
Essential Job Functions:
Develops and sustains relationships with business and cross-functional project teams.
Manages project scope, schedule and risk including change control process.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan, track, and execute iterative activities resulting in both Minimal Viable Products and Minimal Marketable Features Applies appropriate methodology, tools and templates for completing assigned projects.
Capable of overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel.
Capital managing a budget of at least $1,000,000 through an iterative process including monthly project capital forecasting.
Capable of coordinating with project teams having resources in multiple locations, onshore and offshore, including external vendors and consultants.
Assist with the coaching of other Project Managers transitioning into an agile methodology.
Maintains project work plans; creates required deliverables.
Creates / manages funding documentation to ensure final approval within budget allocations.
Facilitates creation of project-related RFPs, MSAs & SOWs.
Understands and consistently manages business expectations.
Reports status on assigned projects, including schedule, cost, scope, risk/issue.
Requirements:

years of experience in a Project Management role with a strong background in cross-functional team development.
Solid hands-on Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban), with a minimum of 3 years in managing enterprise-level application development projects in an Agile environment.
Solid understanding of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
Proven facilitation skills in project planning with both the business and IT teams able to drive the decomposition of complex projects into manageable iterations.
Infrastructure project experience with data center, network, cloud and telecom moves, upgrades and new installations.
Strong leadership capabilities, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with and influence clients, team members, management and external groups.
Experience with project budgetary responsibilities.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the business/client environment and systems, connectivity and application technological alternatives.
Strong general business acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive knowledge of project management life cycle and systems development life cycle both traditional and iterative.
Extensive knowledge of project management tools, techniques and practices, both traditional and iterative.
Strong analytical, problem solving and planning ability.
Ability to interact and communicate with senior management.
Understanding of various technologies including, applications, databases, networking, telecommunications and connectivity.
Knowledge of Clarity, MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point and Visio software programs.
