POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, financial state support, ad-hoc reporting for the company as well as peer review of account reconciliations and journal entries. Assist with preparation of financial statements and footnotes for filings with US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other agencies.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Peer review journal entries and account reconciliations
Design, prepare and publish internal and external financial statements
Assist with preparation of financial statements and footnotes for SEC filings
Review SEC filings for accuracy
Prepare and review process maps for internal controls and insure SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance
Review support schedules for accuracy and consistency before distribution Assist with external audits
Assist in automation projects and recommend modifications / improvements to computer system applications
Performs other related duties and projects, as required
Desired Skills & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
Minimum of four years professional experience
CPA highly preferred
Thorough knowledge of accounting theories and internal control principles using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (GAAP)
Self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools and Hyperion HFM(preferred)
Experience with internal control compliance related to SOXEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
