We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to join the Quality Assurance team at iTRACS. The successful candidate will be a member of a team working on multiple applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Work with members of the QA team to determine the areas for developing test plans/cases. Create, execute, and maintain test scripts for use within projects and as regression testing. Provide peer guidance on implementing new processes across applications. Partner with the QA Manager to help develop quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such a defects.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining complex test cases for client/server or web based software applications. Candidate will be working with a team of 3-5 people.
Isolate software problems and produce clear and detailed defects.
Verify and close issues reported as fixed.
Suggest innovative approaches for problem resolution.
Work effectively in a multi-tasking and highly dynamic environment.
Partner with the QA Manager to enhance test cases management.
Defines scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing
Establishes the purpose and deliverables of the test effort.
Works collaboratively with development during all stages of projects to provide in process testing results.
Coordinates groups of business personnel who test, evaluate and validate new functions and applications, and identify issues in software or services.
Skills and
Qualifications:

years software QA testing experience.
High degree of problem solving ability and demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple high level priority projects/workload, ensuring timely completion
Candidate should have strong communication skills, both, written and oral.
Candidate should have a deep understanding of software development methodologies, including agile and waterfall.
Experience or familiarity with automated testing tools (Micro Focus Silk Test is preferred).
Familiarity with SQL databases, Adobe Flex, and Networking technologies a plus.
Experience with JIRA (from Atlassian) issue and project tracking software a plus.
Experience testing software in Windows, Linux, and web environments
Experience with SQL.
Experience with Jira.
Strong Problem solving and analytical ability
Strong QA Process improvement knowledge/experience a plus (identify and set plans)
Anticipates impact of change, and directs self and others in smoothly shifting gear
Knowledge and ownership of the application and its processes
Develop and maintains policies, procedures and techniques in order to minimize future incident occurrence
Educational Requirements: College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Programing, Mathematics/Analytics, or equivalent education.
