Electrical Project Engineer (EPC industry experience) needed for a six (6) months contract to hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Tempe, Arizona.

What you'll be doing:
- Electrical Project Engineer will Interface closely with development, engineering and construction teams to ensure that project needs and objectives are maintained and satisfied.
- Prepare electrical scope documents, exhibits, budgets, schedules and Requests for Proposals (RFP's).
- Electrical Project Engineer will Prepare initial inverter routing scheme and substation layout and transmission line routing.
- Perform standard electrical engineering calculations and preliminary electrical design.
- Electrical Project Engineer will Ensure the production of quality electrical engineering plans and specifications, while ensuring compliance with project and industry requirements and standards.
- Electrical Project Engineer will direct and manage the work performed by electrical engineering consultants including technical review and comment to detailed high voltage A/C electrical InterconnecT design.
- Electrical Project Engineer will maintain and foster consulting engineer and equipment supplier contacts.
- Electrical Project Engineer will ensure final documentation is accurate and complete for all project work.
- Perform site assessment of existing facility electrical services to determine feasibility of interconnection to solar system

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BSEE Electrical Engineering degree
- Minimum of seven (7) years of design and engineering experience.
- Familiarity with inverter, UPS and/or VFD technology.
- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction, including but not limited to one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to perform standard electrical discipline mathematical calculations and equations, including but not limited to electric circuit calculations, 3-phase power and ampacity, impedance, sizing of conductors and calculation of losses, reactive power and sizing of overhead transmission lines and hardware.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with:
Medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment and transmission design and operations, dynamics and stability modelling and Power Pools and Interconnection Request process, Supervisory Control and Data Collection (SCADA), grounding, relay and protection systems.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with Proficiency in MS Office suite, AutoCAD, Power System Modeling Software, databases and other discipline-related design programs. Knowledge of MS Project desirable.
- Masterspec or other commercial specification software experience
- Must have Electrical Power EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)
