Position Summary
This position utilizes a solid understanding of business operations and systems and industry requirements to manage the activities and projects of the business analysis team. This individual will be a primary conduit for data analyses related to specific groups of colleges.
Primary Accountabilities
Conducts ad hoc analysis to support critical business decisions. Employs a combination of general business knowledge, operations-specific knowledge, and statistical methods in order to provide powerful and insightful analysis.
Liaise with college and executive staff to understand specific college strategies and goals. Determine appropriate analyses for achieving desired outcomes, monitoring current performance measures, and managing trends & issues.
Consults with senior management to present analysis, propose solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develops and distributes all planned and ad hoc business unit reporting per customer requirements. Establishes report content, format, frequency, and distribution schedules, and convenes meetings as appropriate. Ensures integrity and usefulness of all reporting.
Works cooperatively with cross-functional teams to set targets, develop plans, conduct analyses, measure results, and improve processes.
Manages personnel-support actions for the business analysis team which include, but are not limited to, assisting with deliverable execution, developing talent through regular coaching and training, mentoring and counseling employees on career planning, and conducting employee performance reviews.
Assigns personnel to projects and directs their activities to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Maintains relevant professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Emphasis on analyzing structured data sets to produce insights.
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Requires a solid understanding of business concepts and statistical concepts as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in business-related field and advanced degree in management science, industrial engineering, economics, statistics or mathematics.
Competency to work at the highest technical level of all phases of business analysis activities.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, tools, practices, and procedures respective to the required job functions.
Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above.
Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must work independently to achieve desired results.
Must be comfortable presenting and analyzing data to all levels of staff.
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a business related field is required.
A minimum of 5-7 years' business analysis experience required.
A minimum of 1-2 years' experience managing and directing a team of analysts is required.
Additional Qualifications
Advanced degree in management, science, industrial engineering, economics, statistics or mathematics is preferred.
Analytical/technical backgrounds are preferred.
Experience querying data and/or understanding relational databases is desirable.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
