Celerion, a leader in the clinical research industry, currently has a full time Metabolic and Pharmacodynamic Specialist opening at our Tempe, AZ site. We are seeking an experienced industry professional.
In this leadership role, you will collaborate and participate in multidisciplinary teams involved of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs
Essential Functions: Work with support divisions to ensure timelines are being met in Metabolic and Pharmacodynamic studies (i.e. recruiting, data management, statistics)
Collaboratively support the global strategic interests of the company in the areas of metabolism and clinical pharmacodynamics under the guidance of Manager, Metabolic and Clinical Pharmacodynamics.
Carry out literature reviews and be aware of current metabolic and pharmacodynamics developments to assist Celerion in maintaining its competitive advantage in these fields.
Carry out metabolic and pharmacodynamics data collection and analysis for studies where required including this includes participating in reviewing data, and processes to determine the feasibility and viability of project.
Respond to client issues, concerns and requests
Responsible for quality assurance within Metabolic/Pharmacodynamics department and to ensure compliance with client protocol, Standard Operating Procedures and federal regulations, respond to Quality Assurance audits in timely manner
Responsible for building, and implement study specification sheet.
Responsible for supervision of associates during study events, and assign duties, assess and take action as special situations occur in study conduct.
Be present at critical events and dosings of studies.
Responsible for assisting with the preparation of publications and presentations for scientific conferences.
Problem solve as needed during Metabolic and Pharmacodynamic projects.
Meet with clients as needed throughout projects.
Work to liaise with and present to clients regarding metabolic and pharmacodynamics matters, capabilities and ongoing studies
Maintains working relationships with outside vendors and community contacts.
Prepares and presents information regarding departmental projects as needed.
Independently conduct basic studies for Metabolic and Pharmacodynamic department.
Performs other duties as assigned commensurate with skills and qualifications and appropriate to the role.
Knowledge/Skills/EducationBachelor degree in Life Sciences
2 years Industry experience (preferably in early drug development)
Certified Diabetes Educator preferred
Strong customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in MS office applications required
Travel (approximately 25%) domestic and/or international

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
