CNC Lathe Set-up/Programmer

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities,
including the following:
o Loads material in machine. Starts machine and observes cutting operation
o Ability to finish set up of a machine with minimal assistance and within a reasonable time frame
o Makes offsets independently to finish the set up process
o Sets up and replaces tools without supervision
o Recognizes tool wear before dimensions are affected
o Ability to make basic changes to programs on machines
o Compares numerical data display with specifications on operations sheet
o Adjusts tool lengths and fixture offsets if required
o Monitors tooling usage for maximum cost effectiveness
o Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the part
o Authorized to stop processes to ensure quality
o Responsible for machine turnovers to adjacent shift operators
o Works overtime as required
o Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least one year related experience
and/or training
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
