Overview

Provides leadership to establish vision and strategic approaches to advance and support the goals of the College of IS&T and RedFlint Experience Center through meaningful use of technology, digital media and business applications.


The ideal candidate will:



  • have experience setting and running virtual and on the ground labs for the purpose of hands on learning (networking, programing, etc.,)

  • have experience in teaching and/or administration at a regionally accredited college or university


Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning, designing, developing, and evaluating of technology and platforms to support the goals of the College and RedFlint, and for effective teaching and learning methodologies in academic competency based programs

  • Partner cross functionally with Academic, Operations, EPG, Marketing, Industry and Community College leaders to architect learning/educational solutions to company-level industry strategy.

  • Design and develop project scope documentations, statements of work, technical/academic specifications, and business requirements related to customer engagements

  • Collaborate to define functional and technical requirements, and translate them into functional designs, workflows, governance documentation, proposals, and project plans.

  • Collaborates with others to design, develop, revise, and evaluate technology tools and platforms for staff, faculty, and student use in the College of IS&T and RedFlint

  • Work with business and community college stakeholders to identify and deliver new learning and development requirements that are practical and SMART (Specific, Measurable, Aggressive, Realistic, Time-Bound).

  • Work with OPS Dean & Academic quality team to evaluate the School/College degree and certificate programs on a continual basis. Develop education strategies that meet the needs of students and instructors and support the organizational long term mission:
    to become the leader in the global education sector.

  • Represents the organization as appropriate in its relationship with education and business communities by participating in targeted events, conferences, and workshops and day-to-day interactions. This position is also accountable for developing and maintaining positive relationships within the organization, especially with industry strategy groups, other personnel from other colleges, and internal service providers.

  • Support the creation of industry solutions strategy, business case creation (including ROI), development and roll-out of new program industry solutions

  • Serves as College liaison to business and technology partners. Assists with the development of partnerships with external agencies, business and industry

  • Evaluate third-party offerings and services for inclusion in program offerings and conducts build vs. buy analyses when creating programs to determine whether the organization will create a product internally or license from third parties.

  • Maintains leading edge professional and technical knowledge by attending educational and technology workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional technical societies

  • Contribute to organizational process improvement, including processes related to developing use cases, knowledge management.

  • Monitors the use of ground and online resources available on the College of Education Resource page and analyzes data for continuous improvement. Identifies and implements strategies for resource maintenance and revision based on data

  • Participate in regular reviews of metrics to identify areas of development and produce recommendations for improvements

  • Consistently conduct market assessments to track trends and innovations of comparable products to enable product lines to be premier program provider to business/community college stakeholders

  • Provides appropriate product knowledge, education, and training to help staff and faculty of the College and RedFlint achieve competency and promote excellence in the use of technology.

  • Monitors student and community data related to the standards of effective integration of technology in instruction and provides guidance, information, resources, and support to curriculum staff to positively improve student and community outcomes in this area.

  • Perform post-launch product life-cycle management techniques using information from various sources to guide existing programs, including adjustments to the marketing mix of product, pricing, promotion, and place/distribution channels

  • Understands and monitors the impact of industry standards and accreditation requirements related to the use of technology for teaching and learning of both credit and non-credit programs. Provides support in this area in relation to new and ongoing accreditation efforts.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications



  • Role is based on Tempe, AZ

  • Master's Degree in appropriate discipline required

  • Proven experience setting and running virtual and on the ground labs for the purpose of hands on learning (networking, programing, etc.,)

  • Proven experience in teaching and/or administration at a regionally accredited college or university.

  • Proven experience in the field of education and an understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning, and current teaching and learning technologies.


Additional
Qualifications:



  • Doctorate Degree preferred

  • Online and ground teaching/curriculum and some administration experience preferred

  • Experience as a Technical hands on Trainer -Information Technology/Cisco/Wireless/Software preferred

  • Experience setting up virtual and closed training network(s) is preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking to participate in the development of educational technology approaches, as well as the College's mission, vision, and related strategic plans.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate and provide guidance and support to other staff as it relates to implementation of educational technology in academic curricula and other aspects of academia.

  • Results oriented approach and able to manage multiple projects and activities on time and within budget.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
