FUNCTION:
The Sr. Specialist IT, SAP MM/WM is accountable for collaborating with the relevant Business functions (central sourcing, plants, Data Governance) to define, deliver and support IT enabled business solutions. This role will collaborate with the IT Single Point of Contacts (SPOC), Application, and Infrastructure to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design and delivery of technical solutions. The Sr Specialist, IT, SAP MM/WM has primary accountability for delivery of SAP system services including project delivery, system enhancement and production support in alignment with West IT and company policies and procedures.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This role will be accountable for:
Collaborating with the Business function as well as the IT SPOC, Application, and Infrastructure to define detailed business requirements for IT enablement of business needs; maps business requirements to optimal technical solutions.
Technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements.
Creation and maintenance of project charters and plans, capital requests, budgeting and project management in accordance with the Project and Portfolio Management process and West policies and procedures
System support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP
Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids
Work within and participates in the Change Control process.
BASIC
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience.
Plus, but not required: Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMI etc., additional language
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience
Candidate must have minimum 3 to 5 years' experience specifically with SAP MM/WM in an internationally operating manufacturing environment
Candidate should have minimum 2 years' experience management of MM team in ERP competency center or as MM lead on multiple SAP implementations
Strong experience with SAP's MM modules such as PUR, IM, IV, LE-WM, LE-SHP, LE-TRA
Track record of delivery to schedule, budget and quality parameters for large, complex projects
Candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects as both project lead and subject matter expert (SME).
Candidate should demonstrate experience and capability at providing written and verbal reports to senior and executive management (IT Leadership Team, CIO).
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions at an organizational level.
Candidate should be prepared for up to 25% travel, including international travel.
Extensive change management skills and ability to organizationally drive and influence change
Strong communication and presentation skills
