Research Advancement Specialist

Under general supervision of the Research Advancement Administrator, this position provides direct post-award financial and accountancy support to research investigators for the Social Science units within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Currently this team - the Social Sciences Research Support Team (SSRST) - supports the School of Social Transformation and the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone that is looking to grow their grant administration skills, has a strong attention to detail, enjoys accountancy and financial management, and has a desire to provide high-quality customer service to ASU investigators and staff.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
