Quality Engineer

Description Quality Engineer needed to develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for the build of highly complex electronic & mechanical spaceflight assemblies.
Quality Engineer manages and maintains program Quality Assurance activities, and routinely interfaces with Engineering, Management, Customers and Subcontractors.
Individual will be heavily involved in monitoring the build, will participate in peer reviews for technical and process evaluation, and will lead activities related to review and correction of non-conforming materials or assemblies.
This individual will be the primary Customer contract for this program.
This position requires strong influential and collaborative leadership skills, as well as meticulous organizational skills.
Individual must have strong initiative, be a self-starter and have a proactive mind-set.
Quality Engineer sets the tone for Quality with his/her manufacturing and engineering counterparts.
Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree and 15
years relevant experience, or equivalent with emphasis on space hardware applications.
Preferred Skills and
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in hardware integration, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
Experience with Aerospace Standards such as AS9100, AS9102, AS9103 and AS9145 with emphasis on IPC 610 and JSTD for Space applications.
Experience with CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) Manufacturing Experience in electronics manufacturing of space grade hardware Experience working with Government customers Experience with APQP Familiarity with Configuration Control Management Experience with performing Failure Analysis (FA) and Construction Analysis (CA), and leading FMEA and Root Cause/Corrective Action activities.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
