Summary:
Financial Analysis Manager is a key member of the Operations & Technologies of the Americas Division (OTA) of MUFG Union Bank.
This position will be reporting directly to the Director - Finance Manager.
In this role, you will be providing comprehensive and complex financial analyses for the bank's Operations business unit.
You will prepare complex analytical and financial reports.
Major Responsibilities include:
Manage the budget and forecast process, including associated analysis of financial results, developing financial summaries, and presentation to senior management.
Act as a strategic advisor to business partners by advising on business cases, cost containment strategies, trends, and financial performance.
Collaborating with various stakeholders in corporate FP&A, controllers, sourcing and A/P on finance topics such as budgeting, forecasting, accruals, etc.
Improving and establishing financial governance as needed for reporting and annual budgeting (capital and operating).
Support special projects and business combinations by constructing appropriate financial analysis.
Provides written analysis and interpretation of results.
Maintains financial systems or databases.
Maintain a close understanding of business risks and opportunities.
Develop and maintain financial systems or databases solutions.
Establishes financial assumptions and critical decision variables.
Performs additional duties and special projects, as assigned.
Responsible for month end close including balance sheet roll forward, variance explanations, accruals, and fixed asset reporting/monitoring.
Education and Experience Requirements:
BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting required CPA, CFA or MBA desired.
5-10 years of increasingly more complex responsibility in performing financial analysis.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Financial and business acumen.
Knowledge and experience with Hyperion, Excel, Power Point and Business Objects.
Advanced Technical Skills Access Database, Data Analysis (SQL), Crystal Reporting, and Visual Basics desiredOperational budgeting experience desired.
